City Services:

Contact 507-228-8241to request a new resident packet or stop into the office at 791 Main Avenue from 7am to noon and 1 to 4 pm daily.

Sanitation & Recycling

The city contracts with Renville Sibley Sanitation for mandatory residential services. Contact them directly for special collection items or rolloff dumpsters 507-834-6168. 

Tri-County Sanitation also works with the residents and provides collections for electronics, appliances, tires and hazardous waste at collection dates across the tri-county region of NIcollet, Sibley and LeSueur counties. 

Local Schools

Lafayette is located in District 88 - New Ulm, and we are on the border of the GFW school district to the north. Buses from both districts have pick up points in Lafayette.

Lafayette Charter School closed its doors before the 2022-2023 school year.
